Time: 9:30 – 13:30 (CET)
Place: Zoom Meetings
Registration Deadline: 19 April
Equinet invites you to register for its online capacity building on Artificial Intelligence (AI) via this link.
These two online sessions are part of a broader initiative including an e-library and discussion platform that is supported by the Open Society Foundations.
This training is open to any staff from equality bodies who are interested in AI. There is neither a technical nor a legal prerequisite needed to participate!
The aim of the training will be to share the basic technical knowledge, discuss the legal and practical challenges (22/04) and present some examples of current AI applications that might challenge Equality and Human Rights (30/04). An exchange of good practices among colleagues should enhance mutual learning.
Agenda
The training encompasses two morning sessions that will each be divided into three sessions separated by a break:
22 April: technical specificities, practical and regulatory challenges of AI
- Session I. Setting the scene: how does artificial intelligence (AI) affect equality and the work of Equality Bodies?
- Session II. Equality Bodies and AI: best practice examples
- Colleagues from national equality bodies will be discussing their involvement in national and European initiatives as well as the work they have already undertaken on the topic in the light of the challenges identified in Equinet’s report.
- Session III. Challenges and opportunities for gender equality and non-discrimination
30 April: examples of current AI applications that might challenge Equality and Human Rights and possible ways of involvement for equality bodies
