Moana Genevey is specifically in charge of gender equality and other strategic equality policy issues within the network. She is an equality and gender expert who has worked extensively on gender-based discrimination, harassment and violence, at national, European, and international level. Moana has previously worked at the European Commission, the EU Delegation to the United Nations in New York, and the European Network Against Racism. She holds a bachelor in political studies from Sciences Po Grenoble, a double Master’s degree in European Governance from Kent University and Sciences Po Grenoble, and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the Global Campus of Human Rights. She has authored several publications, including her Awarded Thesis on political hate speech and the limits of law, and a Policy Brief on intersectional policy-making and feminist movements.
Fun fact: Moana is a policy officer at day, and a stand up comedian at night. In both instances, she fights sexism while trying to refrain from speaking too much about Jérémy, her very charismatic cat.
