Mattia Concas

Mattia Concas is a Junior Legal and Policy Officer at Equinet, coordinating the network’s work on Age and Disability.

Mattia is a human rights expert with a bachelor’s in human rights and two masters, one in Public Policy and one in European Studies, graduating in the latter with a thesis on the EU-Turkey deal and its impact on the movement of queer asylum seekers. Leaving sunny Sardinia at a young age, Mattia studied and worked in Spain, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, where he currently resides.

Before joining Equinet, Mattia gained extensive experience in the NGO sector, working on asylum and refugee rights. He also spent over two years at ENNHRI, where he led initiatives related to asylum and migration, as well as the rights of persons with disabilities and older persons.
