Ilaria is Equinet’s current Communication & Membership trainee. She holds a Bachelor’ degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, a Master’s degree in Foreign Languages for International Communication and Cooperation and a Postgraduate Specialising Master’s degree in Migration Law, all from the University of Bergamo, Italy. In her Master’s and Postgraduate degree she focused on the legal and operational aspects of migration, from search and rescue operations carried out in the Mediterranean to specific issues of Italian Immigration Law. She completed an internship at the Civil Society Action Committee in Geneva, Switzerland, and, after graduating, she worked as Support Educator with asylum seekers in Northern Italy.
Fun fact: Ilaria loves going for hikes in the Alps, but since moving to Brussels, she needed to find a way to survive the Belgian winter and took up embroidery and crochet.
