On 18 September 2024 Equinet will hold the first meeting of the Leadership for Equality Hub in Berlin, Germany. This initial meeting, aimed at Heads of Institution or their Deputies, will take a workshop approach, where attendants will be invited to actively participate in the co-creating the building blocks of the program.
The Leadership for Equality Hub is a new Equinet initiative to be designed and piloted, to support its Members at leadership level post-2024. It will be dedicated to heads of NEBs to help synergize leadership’s efforts in creating a common vision and ambition in shaping the transposition of the Standards Directives, and beyond. The Leadership for Equality Hub will serve as a high-level platform for exchange, support, and facilitate strategic planning and connections, with the ultimate goal to further strengthen the network of Equality Bodies and enhance their impact at national level across Europe.
This initiative is based on prior discussions and feedback received from the leadership level within the Equinet membership, pointing and agreeing that a new additional level of dedicated support and cooperation among the heads of equality bodies would bring further benefits and added-value to their work and engagement in Equinet. The vision is to build this hub with elements of in-person interactions and online exchanges, opening new channels of communication between peers and sharing moments to look at common issues affecting leaders’ every day work:
