Relevant EU Directive:

Directive 2000/78/EC.

The prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation at the EU level covers the area of employment.


Example:

Examples can include a gay man being refused a job because of his sexual orientation or a woman being harassed by colleagues at work because she is lesbian.
