What is needed to support – and improve – disabled persons’ chances for participation in the labour market across Europe?
With high rates of unemployment especially among the young workforce, persons with disabilities face a multitude of barriers on the labour market. This creates an urgent situation concerning the UN Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in particular and disabled persons’ participation in society in general.
The Austrian Disability Ombudsman invites European Equality Bodies with a mandate on disability-based discrimination to discuss questions and formulate strategies around labour market inclusion for persons with disabilities across Europe.
Interested parties are invited to express their interest in participation and are encouraged to share this invitation with other institutions that might suit the conference focus.
