Marta is the current Policy and Legal Trainee at Equinet. She has obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations and European Studies at the University of Florence, Italy, and a post-graduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies at Smith College, USA. She has progressively specialized in International Human Rights Law, with a particular attention to women’s rights and disability rights.

Marta has previously worked at the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), where she has been mainly engaged in a project related to the inter-connection between violent extremism and gender-based discrimination.

Fun fact: Marta has been doing ballet for twelve years and, even though she does not regularly attend dance classes anymore now, she loves making a bun with her hair!
